Morning Preparations: 6:00 AM
The day starts early in the HVAC industry, and working at Pat’s Heating & Air Conditioning means being ready before the Texas sun rises. After grabbing my morning coffee, I head to our service dispatch center to review the day’s appointments.
First Calls: 7:30 AM
Our morning typically begins with preventive maintenance visits. These are crucial appointments where we:
• Check system operations
• Clean or replace air filters
• Inspect electrical connections
• Test thermostat functionality
• Ensure proper refrigerant levels
Emergency Calls: Mid-Day
By lunch, we’re often responding to urgent service requests. Summer in Dallas means systems working overtime, and we prioritize calls from elderly residents or homes with medical needs. It’s rewarding to restore comfort to families dealing with unexpected breakdowns.
Afternoon Service: 2:00 PM
The afternoon schedule usually includes:
• System maintenance
• Filter replacements
• Equipment upgrades
• Performance testing
• Air quality assessments
End of Day: 5:00 PM
Before heading home, I complete service reports and prepare for tomorrow’s appointments. We also ensure our service vehicles are fully stocked with essential parts and tools.
Maintaining HVAC systems isn’t just about technical skills – it’s about helping people feel comfortable and safe in their homes. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to serve our community, and that’s what makes this work truly meaningful.
Remember, regular maintenance is key to system longevity and efficiency. Don’t wait for problems to develop – schedule your seasonal check-up today!
